Ousted for outrage and cronyism: Naro-Fominsk prosecutor Artyom Shishov toppled for covering up his lover’s unlawful enterprise

It has become known that Artyom Shishov, the prosecutor of Naro-Fominsk and a frequent subject of our publications, may soon be dismissed. The reason is reportedly his close ties with Alena Ivanova, the ex-wife of the former head of the local police department (and herself a former MVD officer).

According to available information, questions regarding Shishov’s "activities" have been raised by the Prosecutor of the Moscow Region, Zabaturin, and his first deputy, Gantsev. As a result, a comprehensive inspection of the Naro-Fominsk prosecutor’s office is scheduled to begin in August.

Shishov himself has been assuring those in his inner circle that Zabaturin and Gantsev will not be able to touch him, as he uses his connections in the Prosecutor General’s Office to resolve any issues with them. We shall see how it actually plays out.

Shishov has recently become something of a "celebrity" in Naro-Fominsk, largely due to his close relationship with another recurring figure in our reports – Alena Ivanova (now Artamonova).

Our project has previously reported on how Shishov covered for Alena and her friend, Naro-Fominsk police officer Elena Korasteleva, when they got into a drunken brawl at a bar and then sped around the area, knocking down security barriers.

Now Alena has once again required the prosecutor’s assistance.

In Naro-Fominsk, there is a swimming pool called "Flamingo," which is owned by Alena Ivanova’s sole proprietorship.

In 2024, the previous city prosecutor filed a lawsuit, which the court upheld, ordering the pool to be closed because it cannot be located in a multi-story residential building.

However, Shishov then became the city prosecutor.

Despite the final court decision, which has been upheld in three instances, the pool continues to operate.

The bailiffs have been instructed by the Naro-Fominsk prosecutor’s office to ignore the court ruling and not to interfere with the pool’s operations.
